is there anybody here who was converted to or from Catholicism because of what you read regarding Scripture on these threads? Im just curious…
 
I’m a convert…from Episcopalian to Catholic. NOT because of the threads though (goodness). I did my own research and reading for about 4 years before going to RCIA. RCIA essentially underscored what I had read in depth during that time, so it was comforting to know I was reading the right things. I still have much to learn, but I’m very happy with my decision, and it is one of the few decisions I’ve ever made, that I can say with such certainty, that has made me feel at ease, at home, and comfortable spiritually. I have quit smoking, I eliminated my drinking problem, it has just been a wonderful part of my life.

Just out of curiosity, are you a convert? or are you just looking for converts? Was there something in particular that you wanted to know or ask?

All I have to say on that is …the closer I get to Jesus , the more it does not matter what is said on these threads…it would not change my mind either way

I want to convert and am in the process of conversion at 43, as I have found no other religion comes close to filling my desire to be one with Christ…and I have investigated them all…

Incidentally, I was baptized Catholic, but at age 2 was adopted and not raised in any church, as my parents never went. My birth family were Catholic, so I am now coming home to my RC roots…

yeah, I checked everything out from baptist to evangelical to pentacostal…just to make sure…and yeah, I was good. I’m definitely not feeling like I belong in any of those places.
