Any experience with rayon fabric? or linen?

I have a red rayon shirt that I’ve been throwing in the washing machine for two years, now. In fact, I didn’t even know that it was rayon for over a year. It hasn’t gotten too small or started to fray, or anything that I can tell. I’ve even thrown it in with whites and not seen any adverse effects.

Wow, that’s good to know. Do you put it in the dryer? How much heat?

with hand washables, I line dry them. Once they are dry I just throw them in the dryer for 15 minutes to fluff them up since I hate ironing. For most things, they come out reasonably nice looking. Somethings do require ironing though. I’ve never had anything shrink if I put it in the dryer once it’s already dry.

Yes, I do put it in the dryer, at…whatever normal heat is. As I said, I didn’t realize that the shirt was rayon for over a year of having it, and treated it like any of my other, cotton shirts.
