Any fans of Queen (the rock band)?

Someone started a Zepplin fan thread, so I felt the need to start a Queen fan thread. I’m not much for Zepplin, but I love Queen.

So, any Queen fans out there? (and I’m talking about the rock band) Tell me your favorite songs and albums, and what you think about the band getting together again and replacing Freddie.

I LOVE QUEEN!

I love the song “It’s Late”! I also love “You Take My Breath Away.” And “Somebody to Love”. And “Hammer to Fall”, “The Show Must Go On”, “Brighton Rock”, “Seven Seas of Rhye”, etc. There are too many others to name. My favorite albums are “Innuendo”, “A Day at the Races”, and “Made in Heaven”.

Freddie was such an amazing vocalist (composer, lyricist, etc)- no one could ever replace him. I would have thought Brian, John, and Roger would have been above jumping on the baby-boomer rock bandwagon.
 
The only Queen song I know and love is “Bohemian Rhapsody”. For once, the original is much better than the Weird Al Yankovic parody.

There first two albums were entitled *Queen *and Queen Two.
After that, there was *Sheer Heart Attack, A Night At The Opera, A Day At The Races, News of the World, Jazz, The Game, Hot Space, The Works, A Kind of Magic, The Miracle, Innuendo, *and Made in Heaven.

Let me know if I missed any, but I think I got them all. Of course, they all did solo projects through the years, but I just listed their group albums.

They still did that when I was in high school, and that was the early 90’s. They might still do that.

I wasn’t around, either, but I’m still a huge fan. I think their stuff from the 70’s is much better than their music from the 80’s, but it’s still mostly all good (except for maybe Hot Space-I just couldn’t get into that album at all).

I love Queen always have done. Favourites tunes by them are ‘The Miracle’, ‘I want to break free’, ‘Scandal’ ,‘Crazy little thing called love’, ‘The show must go on’ , ‘Someone to Love’, ‘Tie your Mother down’, ‘I want it all’, ‘Radio GaGa’, ‘Under Pressure’, ‘Save me’, ‘Who wants to live forever’, ‘Flash’ ,‘Thank God it’s Christmas’ and ‘Don’t stop me now’ to name a few…a truly unrepeatable band!

You’re so lucky to have the Live Aid dvd. I haven’t been able to find it. I’ve seen clips of Queen from the concert, and everyone said they were the best there.

Where did you get it? Did you have to special order it?
