Any Good Devotional Apps Geared Towards Catholics Out There?

I am wondering if there are any good devotional apps or books out there that are geared towards Catholics? I know there are a ton of these kinds of apps out there for non-Catholics, but I’m not sure that using one would be a good thing since it doesn’t include all of the books of the Bible that we have as Catholics.

Any ideas?
 
I’m looking for them to be a bit more in-depth than what those two apps provide.
 
Do they have to be e-format or can they be actual books?

Brevmeum is an app which is the old breviary, the new version of which is the Liturgy of the Hours (LotH).
 
Would prefer it to be e-format. My wife got me a new phone (the Lg G2) and I can actually read books on this screen compared to my old optimus one.

For me the Liturgy of the Hours isn’t like the example I gave above. I’d prefer it to be something with commentary where they expound on the scripture for that devotional reading. Something that relates to everyday life.
 
Wow, I just ran a search for Catholic devotional, and there are quite a few! I even got one: PallottiApp!

This is all for an iPod.
 
Hi!

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but why not try the “Holy Bible” app? It isn’t specifically a Catholic app, but you can change the bible setting to the Catholic bible. Also, there are devotion plans that you can do which include reflections and bible excerpts. 🙂 Surprisingly, it is free, and it works very well! I hope this helps!

I do have that already and they do have a couple Catholic Bibles to read from, the devotjonaks are based on 66 books, not 73.

Maybe I’m being to specific?

I signed up to read the gospel in a year through FlockNotes. It hasn’t started yet so I don’t know how good it is. I just finished the Catechism in a year with them. It was a short bit each day and was interesting. I signed up on their website and got emails so it’s not an app.
 
I have as well! I also signed up for the Catechism in a year - this one should start this week (From the last email I received from them).
 
I also enjoy the Sincere Prayer app. It allows you to store your favorite prayers in addition to having all the Rosary prayers in both English and Latin already installed. It also comes with links to daily readings and homilies from USCCB and EWTN, a mobile rosary, and the Chaplets of St. Michael, Divine Mercy and the Seven Sorrows.
 
I have gone back and forth between Dom Gueranger’s printed multivolume Liturgical Year and many of the apps mentioned here (iPieta, Brevmeum, Laudate). I struggle with prayer and meditation that is tied to a digital device. The digital just seems to connote distraction when I should be focusing. The book, by its analog presence, has a calming effect.

Does anyone else experience this?
 
In the Laudate app, on every day’s scriptures, it has a reflection, as well as the Saint of the day.

I’ll be interested if you find something more relevant to day to day living intended as a devotional. Growing up, I read some cool ones like “If God loves me, why can’t I get my locker open”? And that series. Helped me out immensely!

For the bible I use logos Catholic edition and the kindle app.
For the liturgy of the hours I use divineoffice.org app.
There are also scriptural rosary apps I have used, which I prefer now to the regular rosary. Currently I pray the Psalms with the rosary. And sometimes I do the liturgy of the hours.
Occasionally I will use ipieta.
 
I should also mention I like the Ignatius Catholic Study bible available on Logos and kindle.
