Any good Mass settings?

I’m looking for Mass settings like Heritage Mass by Owen Alstott and People’s Mass by Jan Vermulst. Thanks in advance.
 
I think they have both been revised, including Vermulst’s “Mass for Christian Unity”? I do like the Proulx arrangement of Schubert’s “Deutsche Messe” (German Mass). He revised it before his passing. I also like his “Community Mass” also revised. I have not yet heard anything new that really turns me on yet.

I recognize that you’re just being smarmy and deliberately contributing nothing of value for the OP’s question, but (1) why must everything be constantly “solemn”? Not every day on the liturgical calendar is Ash Wednesday, you know; and (2) for some parishes – let’s say, an African-American parish in the Protestant South which is very accustomed to gospel-style music – the piece probably is expressive of the jubilant praise and style that, for them, actually does characterize a reverent posture towards God. Not everything is Dies Irae or a Brahms overture.

The only thing worse than dropping by just to make judgmental comments is doing it with nothing substantial to contribute, no hint that your opinion is well-formed or considered, nor even any panache to your would-be zinger, and then shoveling a layer of unpleasant sarcasm on top. Try again.

  • Calvin Bower’s revised Mass of Our Lady is quite nice too. Full score attached (i emailed him, it’s not published). Here’s a synthesized recording (with score) of the melody and organ line (the “middle section” has a SATB solo, see attached PDF). It’s very nice.
 
I think Heritage Mass by Owen Alstott (revised edition) is still good. I was just wondering if anybody has the pdf file of the revised edition with SATB arrangement…Would love to have a copy if anybody wants to share it with me…looking forward for positive answers from my Catholic brothers and sisters…I really to have one…God bless us all!

I was just wonderin if you also have the Heritage Mass (Revised Edition) of Owen Alstott with the SATB arrangement? It would be nice if you would also share it with us here. Thanks and God bless you!
 
I find the Mass settings in the Kyrialis to be pretty good.
