I would like some advice on aiding the conversion of a friend of mine who was born into the Eastern Orthodox faith, but was married in the Eastern Catholic church. Currently he believes in the Catholic church, attends mass on Sundays (does not take the Eucharist), sends his children to Catholic elementry and high school.

However, he has never converted to the Catholic church. I have asked about why he has not converted and his answer was that he had never thought it was necessary. I pointed out that it may be confusing to his children that he goes to church and wants them to belong and believe in the Catholic church when he does not display that as an example. And especially that he does not participate in something glorious as the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

He is open to getting more involved with the faith and a deeper relationship with God. I would like to aide him along. Are there any books or materials I can provide to him? Any advice on if he needs to go through RCIA because he has been baptized and raised in the Orthodox faith and/or if he converts to the Eastern Catholic church?
