I love the writing in this show. It’s very cleaver. They also tackle issues and have in the past been on the right side.

House does seem to be a bit more angry this year. Has anyone noticed?

I’m loving house. 🙂

Love watching House; it’s good to see Hugh Laurie in a serious acting mode.

He is probably best remembered to the British audience as the other half of the comedy duo Fry and Laurie bbc.co.uk/comedy/guide/articles/b/bitoffryandlauri_7770745.shtml
Lol, I had actually only seen him in ‘House’ (good show, by the way, I catch it occasionally) and then my husband was watching an old episode of BlackAdder and he was in it. It was so funny to see him being so comedic when on House he’s so serious and whatnot. So I’m on the other side I guess. He’s a great actor, that’s for sure. His American accent isn’t bad either.

I heard it was a fabulous show, could someone tell me when it is on and what channel?

And I thought we were talking about house music… 😃 I do like the show House, though, very gritty, yet at times, light heartd drama.

Count me in !! 👋 I like the show because he speaks his mind, and really doesn’t care if people like him or not. Sorta like I have been told I am lately, only I think the term was " brazen "

Not to mention he’s kinda "easy on the eyes " too

I’ve never seen it but heard it’s good. I had no idea that Bertie Wooster was House until I read that somewhere–from the commercials Laurie is totally different than any other role I’ve seen him in.

No way! I would of never thought he was British! He’s also a musician? And he’s funny?

That just totally blows my mind. :bigyikes: But it doesn’t change it on watching the show. 👍

My hats off to him. Very talented dude! :tiphat:

Well, mate
Could ya happen to say that in the o’ pirate talk?
Arr! A ship’s surgeon with a *peg-leg! *What pirate could not love him!? Blood and swash! Arr!

(**non-pirate disclaimer: **House is crippled, but does not have a peg-leg. My mother, the retired physiatirst, loves the show too, but makes fun of him for using his cane on the wrong side (as do most actors))

Oh yeah… though my favorite other spotting of Hugh Laurie (ok so the only other thing I’ve seen him in) is that he had a very small (but quite funny - almost Dr. House-like) role in Sense and Sensibility… (his character was just about as sarcastic as House, lol)

Season 2 premier was last week here (someone in the thread said they weren’t where they were) - was so glad to finally have new episodes again - not sure if he’s angrier this season or not - I hate to base it on one episode…

Has your mom ever thought of being a consultant for the show? 😃

I love House! I didn’t think I would ever watch a series again till I watched it. I like how surly, and smart-alecky he is. Very attractive. But I always liked bad boys.:o

I love House, I always make sure I am home, and if I am not then tape it. House sometime make me want to throw something at him, but he is so smart! 🙂

I do love this show! “House” is such a lovable curmudgeon, IMHO. 😃

Oh, I saw Hugh Laurie in a very small part in the movie “The Borrowers” not too long ago. It sort of threw me because I hadn’t realized he’s British.
