Did he have a speaking part? If so, did he have his british accent or his american?
Yes he did it was funny. He had his british accent. Rachel was nervous and tapping on her magazines and he was annoyed with her so he mad a few comments and then put on earphones she then started talking to the passenger on the other side of the plane all along he was listening and put his two cents in it was classic ‘house’ answer but in his accent. Last nights show was great!

I love “House”. It’s the best show on TV and the only one I make an effort to sit down and watch on a regular basis.

I think one of the reason’s he’s the way he is is because of his break-up with Stacey (Sela Ward). There was an episode where House was lecturing and basically told the story of how the Dr.'s missed diagnosing his leg correctly. He had to have surgery, but they put him in a coma to let him sleep through the worst part of the pain instead while he healed. Stacey, his girlfriend at the time, wanted him to have the surgery but House didn’t want it. So, while House was in a coma, Stacey ok’d the surgery because she had power of attorney. He and Stacey broke up after that, and that’s one of the reasons he has such a difficult time trusting people.

I know there are other issues and that’s probably only part of the reason, because I think he was like that a bit before he had trouble with his leg. Still, it’s an interesting story-line.

House is such a great show. I heard they were going to hook-up Chase and Cameron, but I hope not. I don’t like Chase. He can’t be trusted. I’m still hoping they hook House and Cameron up. You can tell she’s still interested because of all the questions she was asking Dr. Cuddy in last night’s episode.

Though I don’t watch “House,” I heard that on last week’s episode that the 9 year old may have had tuberous sclerosis complex? Can anyone confirm that? I’m curious because my son has tuberous sclerosis and so far has had double lung and brain surgery. He’s doing fine, btw. 🙂

Thanks,
Rosa

Chase being in the seminary for a time hasn’t changed your mind?

House seems to have been like he is since college. Cuddy knew him then and indicated that he was brilliant then.

Why would that change my mind? Lots of people go to seminary then realize that it’s not for them and move on to other things. Chase can’t be trusted. He was spying on House for Vogler and turned in that bottle of Ipicac that belonged to the woman who had bulemia. That got House into even more trouble with Vogler.

I think House knows Chase can’t be trusted, too. Of course, this is just my opinion.

Yeah it’s a shame that they made Chase so mean, he would be nice, however he is so evil, and also vain.

Yeah, I don’t like Chase. I do like Cameron, though. I just wish she’d learn to stand-up for herself a little more, like when she and House went to dinner and he told her all the things wrong with her. I would’ve kicked him under the table and told him to stop analyzing me. She just sat there and took it.

He likes her, though, even though he keeps denying it. He just doesn’t want to face the emotions of liking someone again. If he didn’t like her, why did he beg her to come back after she’d quit?

Ha, a good boot ought to have gone houses way along time ago, however only from cameron. Also does anyone know why she hated having to tell those parents why their child had died? :hmmm:

Remind me-which episode was that? I can’t seem to remember.

It was in series 1, really quite early on, House makes cameron tell a couple of parents that their young baby has died, she tries to resist in every way possible and then says house should do it as he is the attending. She goes to do it, but has loads of trouble and then someone else does it. House later says that people only hate saying someone has died because they have seen too much or too little death. House claims that cameron has seen to much death, maybe even someone very young and close to her, but she then says house can be a real jerk sometimes; and then leaves. Phew, anyone know? 🙂

What is the character name of the cute doctor who is House’s confidant/friend? Haven’t caught that name yet. He is one of my favorite characters. Nice eyes.

Chase is sort of an eye candy weanie. 😛

She has trouble with death because her husband died of cancer. He was diagnosed before they were engaged, but she married him anyway. So, anytime she has to confront death, she has a real struggle with it. In fact, an episode a couple of weeks ago dealt with her being unwilling to tell a 26-year old patient that she was terminal. She kept running tests to try and find something else wrong with the patient, but in the end couldn’t and had to tell the patient. She cried and one of the Dr.'s (the oncologist played by Robert Sean Leonard (Dead Poet’s Society among others)) told her to stop getting emotionally involved. She said that people should cry and good people die.

Dr. James Wilson is House’s friend. He’s the Oncologist. He was in Dead Poet’s Society, Much Ado About Nothing and has done quite a bit of Broadway. I really like him in this role. He does a great job.

Wow! Can’t believe my eyes. :bigyikes: Several not liking Chase?

Didn’t he do those things because he thought he would get fired? Weren’t they all afraid of getting fired and so they did what they could to save themselves? That doesn’t make it right but they did.

Can’t we believe that people can change?

Go on and not trust him but he hasn’t done anything lately to make you not trust him. 😃

Uhhh… kissed a nine -year -old patient on the lips… for about 4 seconds.:ehh:
I know, we are suppose to like him for that.
Actually, that didn’t bother me as much as the fact that he is just too dang cute and cuddly to be taken serious. He looks like he fell off the cover of 16 magazine. …[is that a magazine?] Maybe he would make a better soap opera doctor?
I’ll give him another chance. It’s just so hard to get past how pretty he is.

I don’t think he’s good-looking at all. Of course, blondes have never been my thing. I like older men with dark hair. House and Wilson are far better looking than Chase. That’s just me, though. To each his own!

Somehow I just can’t see MY doctor sending his associates out to my house, for pity’s sake, to search for what ails me, like they were on a CSI mission.

On the other hand, my doc doesn’t usually do things that he’s not sure will kill me or cure me. Of that I am thankful.

When it comes to medical drama, I did enjoy the book “Complications” by Atul Gawande. (to go completely off topic)

As for House, it’s better than Desperate Housewives.

I thought House and that other chick (lawyer) had been married at one point… I want to see him and the administrator get together.

I loved the story line with that business administrator trying to mold House into what he wanted. I loved the fact that he had to learn how to deal with the political correctness and when he stood up to the guy, it was in very real ways that you’d love to do yourself at times! We have all been there at one point sputtering and spitting wanting to say something clever to the effects of “take a hike” (in much worse terms).

:o I didn’t like him for that. I did like when he confessed to it. Very funny!
