Any ideas on who this saint might be?

I our local Carmelite chapel, there’s a statue of a man holding a cross in one hand and an open book in the other. The book reads, as near as I can remember “O Lord, to suffer and die for thee”. Being a Discalced Carmelite Sister’s chapel, I at first though it was John of the Cross, but he’s typically shown as being bald and this statue doesn’t appear so (though it’s in a niche, so it’s hard to tell).

Any ideas on who this is?

I suspect its John of the Cross. I saw a picture of him holding a cross with a book (probably the Bible) in front of him.
