can anyone give any info. on the Franciscan Missonaries of the Eternal Word? i’m strongly considering it as my vocation. I know that god has called me to become a priest. If not, does anyone know if there are any Fanciscans in Louisiana? As long as it’s Franciscan, but I like EWTN. Thanks!

Why don’t you just contact the Brothers at EWTN and talk to them…

better yet…come on down! Visit them. Talk to them. I really do believe that they need more Brothers and Priest to help out with the TV network.

We’re hoping he will become our future permanent associate pastor. Great man. Fell away even longer than me form his youth…Franciscan’s are awsome! My wife and I may not be here had it not been for God putting Franciscan’s in our path. Here’s information I got from the business card he gave me. My 13 boy is considering a vocation to the priesthood as a Franciscan Friar. I’d love it if he bacame an EWTN Franciscan too because we could see him everyday on EWTN. But for fun here’s where I went to the seminary…sjasc.edu/ it’s a Benedictine Monistary…Benedictines are great too…but we love Franciscan even more. BTW DJgang: Thanks for your prayers. Fr. Mike [see link] showed me another way to look at my journey that helps. I’m seriously looking at the diacaonte now.

I’ve got to put a plug in for these guys. They are absolutely the best group of priests I have ever know. When my son started talking about becoming a priest I started telling him to consider a religous order. Diocesan priests are good…but the extra sacrifice is just awsome…poverty…like us. Okay spiritually anyway. I’m an engineer, but with the way my wife gives them gifts, it looks like we’ve take a vow of poverty.
