Hi,
I love to read and be inspired by stories of saints, particularly female ones, such as St. Gemma, St. Dymphna, St. Felicity and St. Perpetua. Does anyone have some interesting saints that make inspiring reading?

Well, all saints are inspiring. Still, any suggestions?

Thanks to all who reply.

St. Justina & St. Cyprian, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Padre Pio, St. Faustina, St. Philip of Jesus, St. Lawrence, St. Blas, St. Christopher,

Myself I’m reading thru the Mystical City of God by the venerable Mary of Agreda.

I find it very fascinating.

Pax Christi!

A parishioner asks the priest, “Father, is it true that something that has been touched by a saint is considered a relic?” The priest answers, “Yes, it’s true. If something has been handled by a canonized saint, it’s considered a third-class relic.” The parishioner smiles and says, “Well, I was once spanked by Mother Cabrini!”

Maybe not what you were asking for, but a cute story anyway.

God bless.

P.S. Try looking up St. Christina the Astonishing! Great name, huh?

I have the four volume set of that. It used to be considered forbidden reading by the Church, but the prohibition was lifted.

Check out Saint Hyacintha of Mariscotti… I’ve been calling her Saint Hyacinth… but there are at least two men and then Saint Hyacintha…

I like the part at the start when mary is taling about the angles. they were like us in that they did not see God right away thoe their time was shorter then us.
