Any James Blunt fans here?

I just bought his cd last week (the clean version), and all I can say is wow. I love every song on the cd. I just can’t believe that I didn’t buy his cd months ago.
His lyrics are really meaningful. My favorite song on the cd is ‘tears and rain’, mostly because I can relate to the lyrics.
His voice is so different from what you hear on main stream radio these days. He really expresses total emotion through his voice.
Are there any other James Blunt fans on this site? If so share your thoughts.
If you haven’t heard his music yet, I highly recommend you check out his cd.
 
oooh Where did you get the clean version? We borrowed the cd from the library (we preview almost all cd’s that way) and didn’t like his “potty mouth”. I did like most of the songs, but am not willing to listen to those foul words. Glad to hear there’s a clean version.
 
I bought the clean version at Wal-Mart, but I’m pretty sure that most places sell it. You probebly have to ask. What I like about it is that instead of just bleeping the word out he actually just re-did the song.
He only cussed in one song that I know of. It’s a shame he had to cuss at all, but at least he made a clean version.
 
I dont mind songs by men lamenting a woman or love, but I find him, his music and his style to be weepy, sissy, whipped man music. 😃
 
My husband writes concert reviews for our local paper and he’s got James Blunt on his schedule of concerts. I’m sure he won’t use his 'clean" versions of songs but it should be fun (I can’t remember the last time I went to a concert that wasn’t classical - maybe I’ll find out why 😛 ).
 
Oh he might use the clean version of ‘Your beautiful’, because that version is more popular.
 
Ok, we went to the concert the other night. Nothing amazing, but it was still fun. Mr. Blunt is very likable and pleasant. His backup band was good too. The mix was very well done, I could understand more than 90% of the words 👍 .

The audience was mainly early teen girls and their parents :rolleyes: . Everyone had cameras or camera phones and there was one time in the concert that he went to different parts of the stage, and it really looked to me and my husband, that he was posing for pictures. He even went into the audience and hugged some girls, probably the loudest and most frenzied part of the concert :rolleyes: .

He did “Beautiful” for the last encore. When it got to the line “flying high” he stepped away from the mic and the audience sang it for him. I was very pleased to hear the audience saying “flying” 👍 . There were no other cuss words in any of the concert. I guess he edited those because his album had quite alot. All in all I came away liking him, didn’t know he served in Kosovo. I will probably try to get his clean cd.
