I’m putting together a Rosary (Rosarium de Beata Virgine Maria?) booklet for myself, with side by side translations of Latin and English for all the prayers., and putting in illustrations, and bible verses, all readily available online.
Aside from the Pater Noster, I don’t know any prayers in Latin, and have never studied the language beyond trying to learn some of the common prayers. This is something I am trying to remedy. I have found the prayers easy enough on-line.
I came across some instructions for the cycle of the mysteries, though I’m not sure how official or not they are, but since its a private devotion anyway, and I think it gives it the feel of a 'liturgical cycle, I was looking for translations of the following phrases. Would appreciate any help.

**The Joyful Mysteries
(Said on Mondays, Saturdays, Sundays of Advent, and Sundays from Epiphany until Lent)

The Sorrowful Mysteries
(Said on Tuesdays, Fridays, and daily from Ash Wednesday until Easter Sunday)

The Glorious Mysteries
(Said on Wednesdays, and Sundays throughout the year)

The Luminous Mysteries
(Said on Thursdays throughout the year)
**

I know the Luminous aren’t exactly traditional, but with a few meditations from the Vulgate and Douay Rheims, some proper classical. baroque tpye images I think I can make them fit in;) Thanks in advance for any help.👍

Thanks folks, I already have the prayers, it was those particular phrases in bold text that I am after. I suppose I could stick them into an online translator but I don’t really trust them to be honest. It’s a little booklet I’m putting together for myself, there are ones online, they’re just not exactly what I want. I’m putting in illustrations of my own choice and that, and some bible passages too, so its not really an app that I’m looking for. Following sites are useful, for those who are interested:

Ok, think I haven’t been clear enough. I have the prayers, it’s a translation of the following sentences I was looking for:

**Said on Mondays, Saturdays, Sundays of Advent, and Sundays from Epiphany until Lent

Said on Tuesdays, Fridays, and daily from Ash Wednesday until Easter Sunday

Said on Wednesdays, and Sundays throughout the year

Said on Thursdays throughout the year
**

Thanks again.

Starting with Sunday
dies Solis
dies Lunae
dies Martis
dies Mercurii
dies Iovis
dies Veneris
dies Saturni

Said: dicatur
Throughout the year: per annum

Those are the pagan names for the days of the week. In pretty much all Christian Latin, it’s rather:

Dominica (Sunday)
Feria Secunda
Feria Tertia
Feria Quarta
Feria Quinta
Feria Sexta
Sabbato

That’s what I thought, but the pagan ones are what online translators churn out, and that’s why I don’t really trust them. Like I say I’m not an expert so I come here for help with it.
Any help with the clauses about between Lent Advent and all that?

Thank you,EphelDuath
I stand corrected. Let me take a swing at:

Ash Wednesday (Feria quarta in capite jejunii)
Easter (Pascha)
Epiphany comes from the Greek, so I guess it remains the same,
or Latin: epiphania

Here is an online Rosary with English and Latin side by side for the prayers and the Mysteries.

Thanks thistle. I came across that site in my research already. Like I said in the OP, I have the prayers and mysteries already, it was a translation into latin of the text highlighted in bold letters I was looking for. I was hoping the Trad forum could have helped. I used an online translator, bit it just looked wrong, it gave the pagan days of the week for starters so I don’t know if I’d trust it again.

If you know Latin, I’d appreciate it if you could help if translating the following sentences from English into Latin . Thanks again.

Said on Tuesdays, Fridays, and daily from Ash Wednesday until Easter Sunday

Said on Wednesdays, and Sundays throughout the year

Said on Thursdays throughout the year***

Thanks again.
