Over the last couple of years I’ve developed an enthusiasm for recordings of various types of liturgical chant. Not only Gregorian chant, but other types such as the music of St. Hildegard of Bingen (who incidentally was canonized and declared a doctor of the Church by Pope Benedict XVI) and liturgical chant of the Greek and Russian Orthodox churches, as well as alternate forms of Western chant such as Mozarabic and Milanese (or Ambrosian) chant.
Some of the best recordings of these various types of chant are out of print, and it can require patience and diligent searching to find copies at reasonable prices. However I’ve found it worth while.
Just wondering if anyone else on these forums has an interest in this type of music.
God bless.
