I have seen Marlon Brando in Désirée (1954).
He portrayed Napoleon Bonaparte, the military Napoleon and eventual Emperor of France.
Jean Simmons starred as Désirée Clary, a lovely French lady.

Like everyone else, LOVED him in The Godfather.

I also liked him as Jor-El in Superman (1978). His scene with General Zod and his minions is my favorite scene in the entire movie. 😃

I liked him in BEDTIME STORY, one of his few comedies. He costarred with David Niven. It was remade as DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS.

I watched a good movie the other day with Marlon Brando called Morituri. A really good movie. Yul Brynner was in it also.

Of course, my favorite role he played was The Godfather.

I don’t know much about his early years, but his later years seemed sad and tragic.
Brando…yes one of the view actors who deserve his hype. Yul Brenner too was quite good. He made even the worst parts a treasure.

I always enjoyed his acting in the many film’s of his that were viewed.

Thanks for the clip of his screen test. I guess it went to James Dean.
Marlon was very handsome and seemed shy.
Actually the film wasn’t made when Brando had done the screen test. The project had been put on hold for a few years. Brando was a number of years older than James Dean,

You Tube also has a documentary on Brando’s life, I watched about 5 minutes. He had a very hard childhood, an abusive father and an alcoholic mother. Brando apparently had to play caregiver to his mother from a very young age.
