Hi,

I have been really attracted to the papal crucifix. Intend to get one but do any of you guys knows is there any special meaning behind this cross? As it looks abit different from normal catholic crucifix I have seen.

It is good for me to know if I intend to wear one I guess.

Thanks ! 🙂

Just in case the OP doesn’t realise - the second link is absolute trash. It’s the inverted CRUCIFIX that is a Satanic symbol - the inverted CROSS, which the Pope is pictured with and is used in some places in the Vatican, is actually a long-established symbol of St Peter, who was martyred by being crucified upside down. And the stuff about the so-called ‘twisted crucifix’ is just rot. I’ve never in my life known of a Satanist wearing a crucifix of any sort (they wouldn’t, after all, want to be mistaken for Christians now, would they!)

I have total faith in our Pope all those rubbish will not affect me.

I am looking for the true meaning behind the Papal Crucifix. Did the Pope mention anything on this unique crucifix? eg. Like San Damiano Cross have so much nice and wonderful meanings behind that cross 👍

Any other replies other than the satanic thingy? Thanks!

You mean like this one?
I have one, and I love it.
My understanding of the significance of the bowed crossbeam is that there was/is no tree in the world that could bear the burden of our sin as Christ did. Only He could.
The way the corpus is crafted really emphasizes His suffering–not that other styles downplay it–in a way that really speaks to me.

I have one too, and love it, and my understanding of it is pretty much the same.

I have a rosary with the evil cross on it. hahahsdilaehda

Some people are so silly.
