did anyone here watch Ken Burns new documentary on Country music? If you haven’t it is great, however, I didn’t watch it all the way through. I watched the first part of it and it talked a lot about Jimmie Rodgers, The Carter Family, Deford Bailey, and Uncle Dave Macon. I’ve been a Jimmie Rodgers fan for many years now, and I have to say they did a great job talking about him. I have a book on his life, and I sing quite a few of his songs. He was a fascinating guy

Yes, I did, except I missed part of the first episode. I think it’s unfortunate that he left off in the mid-'90s; there’s a whole 'nother quarter-century of musical history, be it good, bad, or indifferent.

Love blues music be it classic blues, Johnson, Waters, Howlin’ Wolf through the blues infused rock ie, Clapton, Zeppelin, Allman Bros. ZZ Top to todays artists, Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Johnny Lang, Walter Trout. (If you like blues with a Christian message check out Trout).

For country I like Waylon, Willie, Johnny Cash. Throw in some Garth and that’s about it.

I listen to jazz every weekend morning while reading. Prefer smooth jazz.
