Any orthodox religious orders out there?

Dear brothers and sisters,

May I ask if you any religious orders out there who are loyal to the magisterium in practice? I’m considering a few orders but the way they do things seemed too liberal. One example is the Jesuit order, whose Mass chapel does not have kneelers and they use inclusive language in all their Mass phrases. Their main church has kneelers but no one kneels during the consecration. There were many other liturgical abuses when I was visiting.

I heard about the Norbertines but couldn’t find much information about them. I would like to find an orthodox religious order that follows the rubrix of the Mass. If it follows that, then I’m sure it will follow everything else.

There are a number of orthodox orders in the US, although they are still as of yet a minority compared to the more progressive/liberal orders (however, this seems to be changing for the better).

I also have been looking to join religious orders that specifically state their faithfulness to the magesterium, are more traditional and celebrate the mass with great reverance. Here are a few by name that i have researched myself and/or visited. Also keep in mind that ‘generally’ religious orders that where founded in Italy tend to be in line with the Pope in regards to the matters that you mentioned

Norbertines (specifically the community in Orange County, CA), Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, Miles Jesu, Community of St. John, Institute of the Incarnate Word (IVE), Oblates of the Virgin Mary, Marians of the Immaculate Conception, Franciscans of the Immaculate, Servants of Charity.

Institute of the Incarnate Word is quite impressive. They even try to ensure that the candles that they use are the real thing and not the kerosine filled.

I’ve been discerning for over 4 years. The call was very strong at the beginning but I had to work years to pay off my debts. Because of that, the vocation slowly diminished.

I’ve found a girlfriend and we dated for a while. We talked much about marriage and kids. But suddenly, the called came back. Since I discerned for so long, I decided to follow the discernment this time.

I’ve looked up the different spirituality and have not decide on one. I’ve a wonderful Jesuits vocational directory who helped me much in the past few years. I’ve been drawn to the Franciscans and the Carmelites.

I’m a jack of all trade in life and a master of none. I believe I would be satisfied anywhere there is a great love for God. Liturgical abuses make me very unfortable though, so that’s why I’ve been looking outside the Jesuits. But in the end, I might end up there. I wonder if it is possible to be an orthodox Jesuits?
