I was listening to the audio bible from the book of Acts and I was reminded that people can get the Holy Spirit even before water baptism.

Acts 10:44-48 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
Gentiles Receive the Holy Spirit
44 While Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who heard the word. 45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles, 46 for they heard them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter said, 47 “Can anyone withhold the water for baptizing these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” 48 So he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they invited him to stay for several days

This is true. The Holy Spirit is THE FREE SPIRIT in the universe. He chooses His path. We receive Him gladly.

Blessings,
I’m thrilled to read your post and the Vatican embracing our Holy Spirit.
It’s a curious thing, the church rejecting the mass format from the Vat. II Counsel. I thought we had come to the mountain top. So, back to the Tridentine Latin mass.
Gods presence is everywhere.
May we all feel His love

Where does it say the church rejects Vatican II mass format and is returning to the Tridentine mass?

IDK where it, officially, says it. But I’m in choir and it’s been discussed. There is a thread here on the subject. Search Latin Mass return??
What puzzles me, is if Vat 2, opened the door for the Holy Spirit, how can we close it?? I was raised on Latin. I was 16 yo when we went to vernacular. Ppl were having a fit! We plodded on. It makes sense.
But our population has been decreasing. Someone felt, it might help to go back to Latin.
A few parishes jumped in AND their attendance increased and donations. Young ppl are coming back?? IDK! The reason ppl left Catholicism wasn’t the mass format. Who am I to say?? If it works, Praise God.
Lord, we let the gates of Hell into the church. Your word says,”THE GAYES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST IT!” Believing Father!
In Jesus name
Amen.

The soul is intellect and free will. You mind is the intellect part. I would imagine the free will part, is the intellect w your Spirit.
God bless

Most denominations started having a Charismatic Branch. It would meet on specific days. The main church worship is the normal flavor of the denomination. Those believers in the Spirit would come together in the Spirit, on a separate schedule. Occasionally, we had Charismatic mass on the meeting nights.
God bless
