Our parish has chairs with pull out cushions that 99% of the people do not use during any portion of the liturgy at all. There is no knelling, period. Only sitting and standing. The priest has in three months never publicly encouraged one worship style over another. What specific binding rules if any is the priest breaking and where can I find them in the Chatechism or GIRM, or other official publication?

Additionally, is there a binding rule, or official encouraged practice on clapping during the mass, or during baptists held during the mass?

Thank you
