Thanks jc-servant. That looks like an excellent book. I just bought it on e-bay! 😉

I also wanted to tell everyone how big of an idiot I am… :o

I just was looking at interfacing on the internet and something clicked. I have never in my life used interfacing. The stuff that I had so much trouble with and had to have my mom help me with was BIAS TAPE!!! :doh2: :blushing:

I hope you all don’t still think I’m an idiot for not being able to use bias tape. Come on, its harder right? Isn’t there folding and stuff involved with bias tape? And don’t you stitch it twice?

There is no bias tape in either of these two costumes. I really think I’ll be able to do them on my own. ha ha ha. I’m so stupid. I’ll be glad when I get that book. Me no learney without pictures.

Yes, bias tape is more tricky than interfacing and it does (usually) involve sewing it twice. But once you understand the concept of how it works the only real problem is making sure the stitching sits in the right spot to hold it exactly where you want it (something I still have trouble with) Although you don’t need it for this project you might find the instructions on this website helpful sewing.org/enthusiast/html/el_biasbinding.html
