I have not heard anything from any of our bishops about the matter. Wouldn’t this be considered a scandal for the church to accept these politicians views on the issue of abortion. Some will say, they aren’t accepting their views of abortion. I disagree, the very act of not following canon law show their acceptance.

Again, what exactly are these Catholic bishops doing about all the Catholic Senators and congressmen/women who accept this evil? Absolutely nothing. They are accepting the sin of these so called Catholic politicians. In essence they sign the death warrants. Is it apathy? Willing to do nothing? Just getting by?

I truly don’t understand it. Our some Catholic bishops afraid to speak truth and love? I see alot of love being preached and a lot less truth. Is relativism taken over in some minds of Catholic priests and bishops?

How could a priest offer the body and blood of Jesus Christ knowing this?

Do a Google seach on “Cardinal Mahony Mother Angelica transubstantiation”
Or maybe you just remember the fight.

Some shepherds refuse to lead.

What would really be wonderful would be for Pope Benedict XVI to come and celebrate mass at Washington, D.C and DENY communion to pro-abortion congressmen.

I’d love to hear what our American bishops would say about it when questioned by the media.

I would essentially like to see a change of heart from the politicians and that they would honestly be convinced of the truth.

What is stopping Rome from slapping these American bishops on the wrist or even excommunicating these individuals from Rome without the bishops blessing? It is obvious these bishops are either afraid or they don’t think it is that big of an issue.

I tend to agree you, I would like to see something happen similar to what you said. I don’t understand the fear of standing up for truth. Especially if you do it in love. If God is for you, who is against you?
