Alright well, last year I asked God for some(thing/one) šŸ˜‰ Anyways, a couple of weeks ago I finally realized He answered yes. For a couple of years I’ve had trouble listening to God, thinking I was spiritually deaf because anything I did or asked seemed in vain. But He answered my prayers to be able to listen by telling me yes to this. I don’t really know how to explain it, but I just know He’s saying yes to my request. BUT, its yet to happen, well its started but its slow, and here starts another problem. Impatience. I’m generally an impatient person, but its just so hard seeing I know He’s said yes, that I want it to happen right NOW. Its starting slowly, but its hard to wait out while it takes its time. Does anyone have any solutions to impatience?
thanks

That’s probably why He’s taking his time! šŸ˜‰

Impatient? I know what you mean, sometimes it feels like you spend most of your time in ques or waiting to the point that your life seems to be ā€œwaitedā€ away? Rambling now, but you might just be suffering from excess energy of either a physical or spiritual nature.

A hobby won’t hurt, try something new. It’s all about growth!

Try taking up knitting or crotchet. Take a nice long walk everyday. Also, medication helped me. I got an antianxiety medication that I can use as needed. If I start getting uptight, I’ll take it and it helps me.

O, Lord, grant me patience. And I want it RIGHT NOW!:amen:
hahaha touchƩ, thats the jist of it.

Im not overly impatient, I just have a yearning for things to happen NOW, but its not driving me (too) crazy [yet].

Another thing that helped was totalling my car, and then getting several speeding tickets all in one year. I drive much slower and more carefully now.

Meditate on God’s patience with humanity in order to grow in patience. You might like to read slowly over time through the Psalms, the Gospel according to St John, our Lady’s Maginifcat and the Letters of St Paul.

Patience and mercy are closely linked, it is impossible to be merciful without patience.

It is impossible to love without patience, ā€˜God’s Love endures forever’ and ā€˜Bear with one another’

It is impossible to be humble without patience, humility waits.

It is impossible to long without patience, ā€˜How I have longed to gather you under my wing like a chicken gathers her chicks’

Without Patience it is easy to forget to be virtuous, ā€˜for he remembered His promise of mercy’

Patience calms anger.ā€˜The Lord is slow to anger’

It is impossible to persevere without patience.

The list goes on.šŸ™‚

In my prayers

I have come to realize patience is something I am in great need of also. Especially with the people I am with every day. I’m hoping for some ideas also, but noting that others have this problem makes me feel better, anyway.
