Anyone staying in downtown San Francisco can get over to Oakland pretty easily via BART. Which station would one get off and how far a walk is it to the church?
You can plan your trip using this transit planner for the Bay Area
transit.511.org/tripplanner/index.aspx. (name removed by moderator)ut your starting point and destination, and specify that you wish to use BART and the max distance you want to walk. There’s a bus stop just a block away from St. Margaret Mary Church. I believe the AC Transit bus #18 stops there and comes from the 19th St. BART Station.

There’s an article in today’s San Francisco Chronicle about the Traditional Latin Mass at St. Margaret Mary: sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/03/21/BAKBVLQMJ.DTL .

The article misses some profound aspects of the Extraordinary Form, but it does accurately describe the attendance and reverence at the Traditional Latin Mass at St. Margaret Mary Church : the pews are filled with people of all ages who love and appreciate the celebration provided by the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest institute-christ-king.org/ .

Dear Paramedic Girl:

It is confirmed that the TLM is no longer in Petaluma but is now in Marinwood. PM me if you need details. Marinwood is closer to SF than Petaluma. Good luck.

Auntie
Thanks. We are leaving May 17 and taking the scenic route along the Oregon coast and should be in SF for about ten days, and I definitely want to go to the ICRSS in Oakland, but will want to check out a daily TLM. Does Marinwood offer one?

Sounds like a great trip! I don’t know if there’s a daily TLM at Marinwood. The daily Traditional Mass offered by ICRSS at St. Margaret Mary is at 6 pm Monday through Friday, and 10 am on Saturday. It’s usually Low Mass though. High Mass is always offered on Sundays.
