Hello everyone,

I came across this video on You Tube. Now, I know that you can’t believe everything you see but some of this peaked my interest. I have no knowledge of ancient Greek or Aramaic so I have no idea if there is any truth to this. Can someone with more knowledge than me weigh in on this? I am curious to see your responses.

hahahah,

While I don’t like Obama, this is kinda out there.

This reminds me of that Bible Code theory, they says you can find prophesy within the Bible if you use it like a Word Search (spacing every letter evenly and eliminating punctuations).

I have no knowledge of Hebrew and am really novice in Greek, so maybe some Hebrew scholars on CA will give their 2 cents! 🙂

Obama is not Satan he more than likely is not the anti-christ either. I am not a fan of the Obamas but this type of thing is what makes it hard for those who legitily try to point out who wrong he is for hos support to lump us all with this type or nut stuff.

I thought it was kinda out there as well. Someone spent a lot of time on it though.

I am not an Obama fan but I agree that we have a hard time getting people to listen to what is wrong with his approach/philosophy and administration when there are extremists out there.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Susan

Is that a serious question ? This video is ridiculous  If

  • “Barack” can be read as Hebrew barak, which can mean “lightning”, or be
  • the root of a verb meaning “to bless” (something the video ignored)
& if
  • “Obama” can be read as Hebrew “bamah”, “high place”, & made to mean “highest heaven”
then any nonsense can be proved to be true.

“Petraeus” is a bit like “Petros” - a US General is therefore an Apostle. This is the sort of argument that video uses. By its methods, words can be made to mean anything, especially if the argument is helped out by distorting them, as is done here. There must be any number of people on CAF with Biblical names. So the argument of the video is stupid beyond description. 😦 This is the kind of brainlessness that gives people in the US a reputation for being idiots 😦

The person who made that video can connect the US President with Satan only by distorting words - by the same method, one could show that the current Pope is some kind of rat, or is mentioned in the Bible.

There is a very easy way to counter this. Which is to prove that President Bartlet is the Antichrist. “But hang on,” someone will say, “President Bartlet is imaginary, a character in a fiction”. That is exactly the point. If the fictional character can be proved to be Satan or Lucifer or Antichrist or whatever one is proving he is, then his fictional status is a reminder that one can prove that non-existent characters are Satan or Lucifer or Antichrist or whatever one is proving them to be; & that as a result, the proof is worthless. For what is the good of a proof that can prove a fictional person is a real Antichrist ? An even stronger proof would be to take a character who could not possibly exist - such as a Vulcan. There may one day be a President called Bartlet - it’s not impossible. But a Vulcan President is an extremely remote possibility, for obvious reasons.

This method is also a good test of “the Bible Code” - if the BC can “foretell” non-existent or impossible events, the rest of its “predictions” look rather less plausible. It probably “foretells” the election of Luther as Pope, or the victory of Japan in WW2, or a thousand other absurdities.
Things are not words: not every Shepherd tends sheep, not every Bush is a plant, every Hunter is not a hunter. And so on. The maker of the video forgets this

Ten seconds’ thought should be enough to blow this nonsensical video’s argument (so to call it) to pieces.

I wouldn’t give any credit to this video. And no I won’t laugh or give disrespect for you making reference to it. Obama is no Anti-Christ. However; he is far from telling Americans the full state of affairs in your country. Obama is just a pawn man of little significance and works for the real (“invisible”) people who control power of the entire world. These are the hidden bankers and financer’s of the world 'who control ultimate power on Wall Street and their evil agenda of creating a One World Government like varacious wolves on a feeding frenzy.

You will now be targeted for relocation to a friendly “re-education center”. Have a good day.

Beam me up scotty!

"“Star Trek” is maybe a tad more credible than that video - though

  • “Khan” does look like “Kohen”
  • (Kohen = “priest” in Hebrew);
  • “Khan” is an enemy of “Kirk”
  • therefore, ST2 is code for the warfare of the “Kirk” or Church of Scotland against the Catholic Kohen-hood, or “priest-hood”
It’s all so obvious.

BTW,
  • the “Enterprise” = enterprise
  • enterprise = venture capitalism, which is very enterprising
  • NCC is part of the code for the “Enterprise”
  • which also stands for Non-Catholic Capitalism
  • and 1701, the number of the “Enterprise”
  • is a reference to the Act of Succession of 1701
  • so the “Enterprise” NCC 1701 is a metaphor for Protestant capitalist commercial enterprise
  • which is the** real** reason Kirk tries to destroy Khan. It all fits.
  • “Beam me up”
  • = “enlighten me”
  • Scotland was prominent in the Enlightenment
  • and helped to “engineer” the Act of Succession of 1701
  • which is the **real **meaning of “Beam me up, Scotty”

Wow. This is the first time I have posted a question on the forums and possibly will be the last. I am disappointed in the condescending way I was answered by a couple of people.

Yes, it was a serious question not because I think Obama is the Anti-Christ but because I don’t have any knowledge of ancient languages and thought it was an interesting point.

Never mind.

What a great exegesis of the STAR TREK canon. Bravo!👍

I wasn’t laughing at you or your question, but at the video.
It was interesting to watch though, it reminds me of the History Channel when they have videos on Nostradamus or something.

It wasn’t a bad question and i can totally relate!

:imsorry: I’m sorry

God Bless,

I’m sure you’re right about the video, but as far as our brainlessness – what do you expect considering that 63% of white Americans are of British ancestry?

That is surprisingly high  - there are three possible answers:

  • The British ones are the brain-endowed 37% - or:
  • one could agree with the implication in your reply, given that there are some impressively dense people over here too :eek:;
  • though, maybe the thick Britons have foreign genes that cause the thickness
More seriously: reputations for thickness don’t help countries - it would be wonderful if the US had a wholly good reputation, and not that. There has to be some way that this reputation can be reversed. Politically, this kind of reputation is not desirable, becaiuse of the political status of the US.

Yes, well the UK has a reputation for having an inordinate number of drunken louts, but I’m not asking you to do anything about it mainly because I don’t think it’s an entirely deserved reputation, having been to the UK many times and having met many lovely and kind English, Welsh and Scottish people there, the majority of whom do not have a drinking problem (though I acknowledge that too many people in the UK drink too much, for whatever cultural and/or climatological reasons). Just as I obviously do not think the reputation you claim my country has for idiocy is entirely deserved (though I acknowledge there are many provincial Americans who don’t have a clear picture of the world outside our country’s borders – that doesn’t give anyone the right to call all of us “dumb Americans”).

People tend to react hotly when their country is insulted and I am no exception to that rule. Probably the best remedy to this is not to say ignorant and/or rude things to people about their country!

No disagreement from me 🙂 Though on the “News” fora, perhaps a different approach is called for - IMO, they are the most combative fora on the site.

For drunkenness, Scotland is hard to beat 😦 - we have a lot of health problems up here: drunkenness, obesity (lots of that), emphysema and related ills, and apparently a shortage of vitamin D. OTOH, footie hooliganism has greatly decreased, here and down South.

But that is not quite on topic perhaps 🙂
