Any WWE fans?
I have to agree with lenten ashes, I watched WWE from the late 90’s (When I was a child until 2008. Now WWE is just bleh. Predicitable, boring and a little to childish for my taste.I was in the attitude era.
Now watch a Raw program here and there…but not the full 3 hours. Opening and ending only.
Watched it when I was living in Canada in 1997/8, and thought it was great!Used to watch quite a bit from 1993-95 and 2002-04, but not
I did impress my son when he first got into watching WWE with the fact that, back in the '80s, I attended a live match featuring the Von Erichs and got Kerry, Kevin, and Mike’s autographs (this was at Ft. Bliss, El Paso, TX… still can’t believe my dad bought us tickets, but I have no idea what happened to the autographed pics!) The look on my son’s face was priceless!
I have a feeling Goldberg will win, Brock will beat him at Wrestlemania for the title, then enter into a feud with Braun Strowman; I really want Lesnar and Strowman to go at it, that stare down they had there a few weeks ago was class!I watched Elimination Chamber on the Network last night as well. I felt the Royal Rumble was a disappointment this year, and so was Elimination Chamber. Bray Wyatt should have been champion a couple of years ago IMHO.
I did go to WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta a few years ago, and WrestleMania 33 is in Orlando this time, but tickets are largely sold out and the ones that are left are way expensive this time around, which is a shame, because I would have liked to gone again.
Anyone think Goldberg will win the title from KO?![]()
Yeah, I think it’s going to build towards Goldberg v Lesnar or possibly GB vs Lesnar vs KO. It would be sweet if Undertaker could get in on that as well.I have a feeling Goldberg will win, Brock will beat him at Wrestlemania for the title, then enter into a feud with Braun Strowman; I really want Lesnar and Strowman to go at it, that stare down they had there a few weeks ago was class!
There is the WWE Network. It has a lot of old school territories from the 70s and 80s. Plus they have the NXT brand and the cruiserweight only show. It’s really fresh and new.I have been a fan since mid-2001. I started watching right before the Invasion started, so I missed the golden days of the Attitude Era. I used to watch every Raw and Smackdown without fail up until about 2008, and I haven’t watched the weekly shows regularly since except for a few short time periods, but I still watch all of the PPVs and just read the results for Raw and Smackdown each week. If Raw was only 2 hours again I would consider watching but I can’t sit through a 3 hour show every single week, that’s too much TV for me to watch. The quality of the shows is questionable at best in today’s age so it’s not really worth watching even if I did have the time.
Was he someone famous? The only time I used to watch was when my dad’s cousin was wrestling.
not really…Was he someone famous?
Yes, I’ve heard of him. He used to be a Super Destroyer and was an ECW Tag Team Champion. It mentions that Gene Snitsky was a cousin. Was he someone on your side of the family too?not really…
But some knew who he was. He went by the following names:
A.J. Petrucci
A.J. Petruzzi
The Bounty Hunter
The Executioner
Fracture Fransberg
Masked Assassin
Pocono Mountain Man
Sheik Fugan
Super Destroyer #1

His maternal cousin is also a wrestler: “Mean” Gene Mondo

Snitsky isn’t on my side of the family. AJ’s dad was my dad’s uncle. Snitsky is on AJ’s mother’s side, so no relation to me.Yes, I’ve heard of him.
