All you have to do is add a dot and repeat it ten times.

No need to thank me.

Genesis tells us that man was created in the image of God. Evolution tells us that man came out of the slime of the sea and after eons was a monkey swinging in the trees, until he began to stand upright and become less hairy and voila became a caveman
I like the theist evolutionist yarn about soulless humans roaming the earth, until God chose one of them to inject a soul into. The bizarre scenario is Church-approved and is exactly what many priests and bishops believe happened. I know of at least one Cardinal who doesn’t even believe Adam and Eve were real, historical people, but are “terms”.

Not all early church fathers read Genesis literalistically. Augustine and Origen, two giants, come to mind
Regarding St. Augustine, Brian W. Harrison, Associate Professor of Theology, Pontifical Carholic University of Puerto Rico, writes,
“He later confessed … (that) shortly after his conversion, he had offered figurative explanations for passages in Genesis, which ‘after more diligent reflection and consideration’, he realised were meant to be understood literally.” - from Did Woman Evolve form the Beasts? A Defense of Traditional Catholic Doctrine: Part 1, published in Living Tradition, January 2002.

Origen seems overrated to me. His allegorical method was criticised by St. Epiphanius, St. Methodius, St. Eustathius of Antioch and St. Alexander of Alexandria.
St. John of Damascus refers to some of his scriptural interpretations as “the ravings of Origen”.
On Origen and his penchant for allegorical interpretations, the Catholic Encyclopaedia says “it must be confessed that he allows too many cases in which the Scripture is not to be understood according to the letter”.

I am sorry to hear you have been ridiculed for your posirion/belief of young/old earth. I don’t subscribe to the Young Earth but respect your belief about it😊
Thank you very much…

I pray others would have such a heart as you do…one can still be a faithful Catholic and hold a “young earth” view. It is shame how some folks seem to feel the need to condescend to those who hold this view…

I am content with myself on the issue…

Lol, okay. It’s all an evil conspiracy to accomplish…something.
It’s not hard to figure out what that something is. Come on, it’s so obvious. it’s not rocket surgery. Here’s a hint: think in terms of a “creation story” for atheists.

The platypus is just one example of a creature that God created that looks like a combination of very different creatures. Evolutinosts take creature like this and claim they are “transitionals”.

Only in the imagination of the darwinists. Its not proven - but hey ! who cares about facts ?
In the fake-science world of evolutionism, “proof” is a dirty word. Evolutionists harbour a pathological fear of proven facts and empirical evidence.

If you haven’t noticed the atheist dominance of Origins science, then maybe you have problems with your eyes and ears. And are you really so naive as to think the influence of “atheist science” hasn’t contaminated Catholic universities?

Plus you didn’t answer my question: Do you think it’s wise to rely on a bunch of God-haters to inform you about the origins of life?
If you can point out where I said all scientists are God-haters, I will give you $1.35
@Glark I’ll take my $1.35 now.

Speaking of scientific integrity, most (if not all) evolutionary scientists believe that life can arise naturally from inanimate matter and that there is no evidence of design in nature. These fools live in a dreamworld of irrationality.

The-Arrogant-Grace has a biology degree and thinks she knows everything. She also thinks she is vasrly intellectually superior to any stupid, backward creationist.
Flagged for personal attacks.

You forgot to mention that evolution is incompatible with Scripture. But this is understandable - most theistic evolutionists seem to have never even heard of the Bible.

The traditional Chinese depiction of a dragon seems very much like the description of the Leviathan in the book of Job - a fire-breathing sea monster.

It’s amazing how often evolutionists refer to Augustine, as he offers their belief-system absolutley nothing in way of support.

Science has always and will always continue to discover new objective truths. This really does not affect the church, because the goal posts can always be moved back, as evidenced by history.
