Anybody else not been to confession in a while due to COVID?

My pastor’s father died of COVID…another parishoner got it and also passed away. They pretty much halted Masses to the public…90% was livestream only and no regular confessions, only done by appointment.

I have a pre-exisitng condition and they recommend no Mass as we have been a hotspot for COVID for the past 2 months. Of course masks are required and they don’t even want us singing which is hard to do.

So today, finally went to confession for the first time in nearly 3 months. Feels great. Just wanted to share that and wondered if anyone else here is or was in a similar situation?
 
Thanks for sharing ,a great feeling for sure ! I’ve been able to go to confession about every four weeks or more …but I don’t know about now as our churches are closed …I might be able to make an appointment to have confession, but I might have to travel some distance .
 
No sacraments or Mass for months now. We had lockdown, it opened to limited numbers and rosters, but then we went back into lock down.

Yes, it’s been months since I’ve been to confession. I take care of my 94-year-old mother during the day, so while I don’t consider myself at grave risk from the virus (although I’d still rather not get sick), I avoid gathering with others to keep her safe. She’s recovering from a minor stroke, and wants someone (me) to be close by so she feels secure, and this makes it hard to break away even when confession is offered.

I’m glad you were finally able to go, and I trust that the opportunity will happen for me as well.
 
They do it differently here. No confessional booth – it’s out in the open and I guess that’s to prevent spread. That made me feel a little more comfortable with it. Might be the same where you are at.
 
In my country (Argentina) we are having the longest quarantine in the world, with no permission to do any presential religious services (except Annointings and funerals, I guess).

So I haven’t confessed since late 2019/ early 2020, I think 🙃
