Anybody still play Runescape?

It’s a fun game, if somewhat time consuming. It’s like “World of Warcraft” only 10 times more toned down. High fantasy, only playable race is human, an “evil” God and a good god, plus, cooking, mining, smithing, fishing, woodcutting, and praying -yes prayer is a skill-, all feature in this game. I got hooked on it in 2003, stopped playing in 2005, and periodically play it scince.
I used to be a Zamorakian (god of chaos and destruction) but now play as a saradomist (god of law and order) who !ones iron and coal to make steel.

Anybody still play this game?

I played it for a while, way back when. Liked it at the time.

These days I play Dragon Age, Wizardry 8, Might and Magic series, and I have Arcanum on my drive. If I decide I want more MMO time I expect I’ll go back to Rift.

I’ve been playing Runescape since I was eight years old, and go back and visit from time to time.

There are actually more than two gods, very interesting ones too.

Haha, fun to see a thread like this.

I created an account on Runescape almost exactly 10 years ago, and I played it pretty actively for a couple years. I still have my account and could log in at any time if I desired to, but I haven’t for quite a long time. 🙂

Fun times. Though I wasted quite a few days of my life playing that game. :o

I was the quester type. My sole motivation for grinding any of the non-combat skills was so I could get that quest cape, and get the quest cape I did. 😃

coughnolife*cough", but in all seriousness, when I started Runescape -a fellow student showed it to me-, I was hooked! You WOW is notorious for addiction? When I was 13 (when I first started) my sister had to LITERALLY pull me away from the computer :rotfl:

Haha, well I was never an actual nolifer, though I saw plenty of guides on the Runescape forum explaining how to nolife. Those guys have it down to a science, with food and water taken at specific times, lighting, seating, and computer very specifically set up, etc.

No, I was never quite that nuts. 😃

This is the thing. If I were going to live forever (on planet earth) I might get into games, but as things are could spend time doing more profitable things.
