i seem to think about this daily about wether something i did he graver then what i have judged it.

i sold half a chicken to a customer but it was not exactly half a chicken. a co-worker cut a full chicken in half because his customer wanted half a chicken but he cut it more then half. when i realized that a little of it was missing i felt a heavey heart and was thinking what i was going to do. I should of just cut another one instead i pushed myself to just give the half that was sitting there for sale.

i judged this as venial because it was still half a chicken but a little on the small side. but my problem is because i was thinking about this before i gave the chicken to the custome maybe it more then venial.

also another one is yesterday my father and brother was telling be to shut the door and I shut the door with a bit of force. slaming the door more rough then normal closing the door. would this be just venial. is it on the grave matter.

It’s good that you are acknowledging your venial sins…🙂

However, I think you should tell that customer about it next time he/she shops from your store and offer him/her a good discount for the next purchase, and you should tell your father and brother that you are sorry for slamming the door in a rough way…

And I think most importantly that you don’t do such things again…
 
I hate to worry you further, but it’s probably impossible to get exactly 1/2 a chicken, so someone will always have a smaller half than the other. Unless it was sold by weight, in which case the customer is paying for what there is, not for what there ain’t!

And if slamming the door is the closest you get to a row with the family, count it as a blessing. Let’s be honest - being stuck in the same space with people you don’t always get on with is a challenge, and we all have our wee moments of frustration - it’s a long way short of the murder thjat my brothers and me sought to inflict on each other! Ah, happy memories 😃
