Anyone Else Disgusted?

Not at all caring for her music I’d never heard of the song but given some of the lyrics she desperately needs (and IMO is asking for) prayers…

I wanna love you,
But something’s pulling me away from you
Jesus is my virtue,
Judas is the demon I cling to
I cling to
 
I think the song is very Catholic.

“Jesus is my virtue.
Judas is the demon I cling to.”

It’s about the fact that she knows what’s right and good and holy (Jesus), but she still has a love for sinfulness (Judas). Don’t we all fight that struggle?

I am disgusted by every single thing Gaga does, I don’t even listen to her songs when they are on the radio, I quickly switch to a different channel as soon as possible!
 
Really? In her one song she says “God makes no mistakes” which she is talking about how it’s right to be gay. I was listening to the radio and I heard it but turned it off quickly. I will pray for her and yes she was “Catholic”
 
I used to listen to her music, but her huge ego just annoys me too much. I’ve never seen a singer so in love with themselves. She takes herself so seriously!
That said, I would like to know what the actual meaning of the song is about.
I’ll still be sticking to artists like Katy Perry.
 
FYI, I just saw on my facebook news feed, a friend embedded “Judas” music video.

Out of curiousity, I watched it. There is a man crowned in thorn, there is Peter and there is Judas. One of the scene, she washed “Jesus’” feet with perfume, and in the end she was stoned to death.

It’s disgusting and not recommended to watch. In some scenes, I feel like I’m watching a porn video. :eek:
She is desperate to get our attention. Sad.

True that! If Christians had a reputation as a vengful group Lady Gargoyle wouldnt be singing songs like that. This is the problem with the world. People like -her- are becoming famous and promoting anti-Christianity. Its all over the internet too and its sad. Will we ever have peace? :nope:

👍 Good for you! My sister is a huge Gaga fang. I can’t tolerate the stuff she promotes, and most of her songs are inapropriate. I tried to teach my sister that I dont like the ‘now’ songs because theyre inapropriate but she doesnt understand. 🤷 I cant force her to stop listening to that kind of music.

I don’t care for the techno music much and avoid her songs. To me she’s just a poor Madonna what-a-be who isn’t entertaining. Maybe to some she is but I don’t see it. I’m sure her latest stuff will sell and make her lots of money…which is all these types care about anyway…it’s a business for profit. I just don’t give them mine. The last CD I bought was Billy Peek “Can a White Man Play the Blues” (A Local St. Louis Jazz Legend who played with the greats). I prefer to give my money to local or quality groups who can really entertain without all the show.

My sister too! Recently, I overheard she sang a Katy Perry’s song, “Peacock”… "I wanna see you peacock… (or something like that). I explained to her the hidden meaning, but she ignored me.

A few days later, she told me that her classmates laughed at her and told her that the song is “funny.”

Katy Perry’s career seems to lean heavily on a pin-up girl image, along with sexual innuendo in her lyrics. Obviously, this will appeal to many teenagers. However, I think she is more tease than Lady Gaga, who seems more… unabashedly overt.
