Maybe I’m wierd, but I am just so excited to see Pope Benedict come to the U.S. I’m halfway across the country, so the closest I’ll be to him is my TV screen, but I still feel like he’s coming to visit me. Odd, eh?? I pray that his visit will help to rejuvinate the U.S. Catholic Church and help get us all fired up about our faith. Anyone else feel the same way?

I do! 😃

I’m glad EWTN wil have full coverage of all the events since the media will either ignore it or just show clips of the pope and protesters and blow it out of proportion.

This visit is very important to the church here in the USA. I hope people are open to his message.

I am thrilled he is on his way! It is going to be such a great event. :harp:

Well… sure I am excited he is coming it is a blessing for our country. However, I am in one of the 4 diocese celebrating a bicentential and it would have meant so much for him to even drive through on his way from Washington to New York.
I am not complaining as much as wishing things had worked out a little differently.

Bumping this…he’s HERE…he is HERE!

May God bless and keep him safe and may his presence spread much love throughout our Country. 🙂

You’re not weird, OP!

Something today just felt *different *when I knew the Holy Father had landed on American soil. It’s so wonderful to have him here!

Does anyone else get to go to any of the events? I’ll be taking a whirlwind bus trip from the midwest for the Youth Rally in NYC on Saturday. Still praying for those Yankee Stadium Mass tickets!

Here’s a list of CAF members who are going to the Papal Mass in DC 🙂

If you’re not hearing much from them on this thread, it’s probably because they’re busy getting ready! I’m still mentally preparing to wake up at 4:30 AM on Thursday…

Thanks Be To God, he`s here!

*I thank God EWTN is covering it all , the tiny handful of Catholics who will have the privilege to see His Holiness is so small compared to the rest of us who will be watching on T.v. i watched him land at Andrews Airforce Base today and was so ha;;y. I think it would be weird if we were not happy!👍 *

I also felt “different” today when I saw his plane land! I’d give anything to see him in person, but I’ll just have to live vicariously through my cousin who is seeing him in DC!

:extrahappy:

I’m very excited! :extrahappy: A couple of us at work watched the Pope landing at Andrews AFB through live streaming internet coverage on the EWTN website. On Thursday, my sister and her family will be in Nationals Stadium for Mass. I have to admit I’m a little jealous, but so blessed and thankful that he’s now on our shores!:clapping:

I was so excited I kept checking the clock and checking the websites for the coverage to start when he landed… then I emailed the link to dh so he didn’t have to search! 😃 excited… why yes I am!!!
