Anyone else have Sun. Eve. Mass canceled due to Super Bowl?

I went to evening Mass tonight at 7pm (Central).
I actually caught most of the 3rd quarter and all of the 4th quarter afterwards.
Our priest commented at the beginning that the Mass was an exercise in being “counter-cultural” 😃

Hmm. I think your obligation may be covered bc you showed up, only to find that the Church was closed. Anyways, I think its good that most Churches won’t cancel because of football. Football isn’t ubiquitous in our culture. A lot of Catholics aren’t football fans and still need to go to Mass.
