Just watched a film about her and even mystical Protestants love her. Anyone else here really love her and if you have anything to share or have prayers answered please go ahead.

Last week I just finished my Little Flower novena to St Therese, and I had an amazing experience.
I honestly didn’t look up about it too much. I didn’t know how many days it took to complete the novena. Some said 5, others said 9. I just did it without confirmation
On the 5th day, I went on a 1 day roadtrip/pilgrimage to a place we called carmelite valley. Basicly it has a carmelite monestry along with a church… and guess who the church was named after… St Therese of Lisieux!
On the way there we saw many flowers, but no roses. I finally saw some on the foot of our Blessed Virgin Mother Mary, so I prayed there, drank some water which was blessed there, and then attended mass and adoration inside the church.
As of what my intention was, it was for my vocation. To give me clarity of my vocation and to have the ability to accept whatever it may be. I have to admit I had an anxiety towards a calling to the priesthood.
When they were singing praises and speaking in tongue, I prayed and listen, and that moment my heart felt a peace and joy which I never felt before, and I felt confidence that my vocation and calling is to a married life.
So yes! St Therese sent me roses, a whole garden of other flowers, and a whole church! You may say that it’s just me not researching enough about the place that I’m going to, but I choose to have faith that this is the sign that my prayers have been heard.
Nb. I didn’t know day 5 was the last day, so I said another one the next day with 5 extra Our Fathers, Hail Marys, and Glory Bes just to thank God and St Therese.

I love Saint Therese! “Story of a Soul” changed me. Her “little way” really spoke to me. Have you read “Story of a Soul” @inbetweener?

St Therese of Lisieux is my chosen patron Saint.
She referred to herself as a little flower that Jesus was picking for Himself. Some people think it was the Church that gave her the title of the little flower.
She was fierce in her faith, and in her choices of how to live each moment for Christ, she demonstrated strength of will that I strive after in my own life.
Her simplicity and Victorian sentimentality sometimes blinds people from seeing that fierceness and strength. I absolutely love her!

We had a statue in our home when I was growing up, I remember it was encased and it was so beautiful. It now is in my home and my children love it as much as me. I also remember a story that I either read or heard on EWTN,. During World War I two fighter planes, one French and one German were in the skies heading toward one another when they saw a nun holding her hands out one to each plane in a stop gesture., other pilots claimed to have seen her investigating some of the French pilots heard about St.Therese and were shown a picture of her, identifying her as the one they saw. Pilots on both sides starting putting a picture of her on their planes…St.Therese was canonized in 1925. I believe that story and I also have a devotion to her. God Bless

My moms name was Theresa and this Saint was her Patron Saint, as is mine.
I just got a tattoo (my first and probably last) with a cross, the word Proverbs 3:5 and a purple rose for my mom who was a gardener, and for St. Therese who was nicknamed “The Little Flower.”

I don’t recall ever hearing of her until I got to college, but then I read Story of a Soul and she has become one of my favorite saints. She sent me a rose to confirm that I should ask out my now wife.

St. Therese is my favorite saint. Her “Little Way” is the only way I can see myself advancing in the spiritual life. Her humility and gentleness are my inspiration.

I am on staff at a parish named after our fair saint. At all of yesterday’s Masses we had a relic on display on a table beside the ambo. While our new church was being built, I had the honor of helping receive the statues of St Therese, Mary, Joseph and the Crucifix. The statues are carved wood from Italy. I had to open each crate and carefully unwrap their bubble wrap (it was a little unnerving at the beginning because they looked like mummies) and make a close inspection. Therese’s statue’s beauty was breathtaking.

My middle name is Therese, named after St. Therese. She and I have some pretty coincidental similarities. For instance, we both are the youngest of nine. (though sadly, some of her siblings didn’t make it) We both desired religious life (though her desire is much more marvelous!) We both are very sensitive. And we both, before considering religious life, wanted to be missionaries.
I only recently realized how wonderful she is. I think I will do a novena to her.

I’m in the process of finishing Thérèse: A Life of Therese of Lisieux by Dorthy Day. So far, it’s a very good book

Many years (decades?) ago, I read the book The Hidden Face, an excellent biography of St Therese written by Ida Gorres. She does a wonderful job of delving into the psychology of St Therese, while showing how her actual struggles give evidence of God’s grace at work in her life.
I think reading that book helped me understand that the path to sanctity truly exists in what we live in our normal everyday lives. It made me love and admire Therese all the more, because she seemed more accessible somehow.

I have read that book and found it interesting too. I would suggest it to any one who has any doubts about the importance of St. Therese and contribution she gave the Church. She is well titled “Doctor of the Church”.

I really love Saint Therese too
She is my patron saint and we share a lot in common. There was one time I was studying for a set of exams and I was really, really nervous. I asked her to send me a rose, and the next day I received about 5! It was an incredible experience really. I hope one day I can be as courageous, loving and beautiful as she is

Awwww, that is just beautiful! My Dad was going through a hard time, and asked Saint Therese to send him a white rose as a sign that everything would be ok. Later on, he saw his future wife (my Mum!) walking towards him in a white dress, white shoes, with a white umbrella! He knew right away that was his rose.

Incredible sense of humor, even with impending death. In her sister’s (Sr. Agnes of Jesus) little yellow notebook we find this entry for June 9, 1897;
"It is said in the Gospel that God will come like a Thief. He will come to steal me away very gently. Oh how I would love to aid the Thief!”

I had just finished my novena to Saint Therese, and was sitting on the bottom step downstairs putting on my shoes, when my three year old granddaughter decided to explain birthdays to me. She told me about hers and her 3 sisters but when I asked about mine she said “no pap you too big”. Then looking me right in the eye she said “when you get little you can have a birthday.” I don’t believe I called her Therese, but that’s what I was thinking.
