Anyone else like to color-code their Bible?

I like doing this, too. One of my favorite things about my Bible is coloring the parts of the OT that point to Jesus, whether it’s prophecies, like in Isaiah, or psalms like 22, 72, and 142.
I have done that as well and find it a great exercise. I especially like doing that in prophetic literature to highlight where one oracle ends and the next begins.

I know myself, I would get distracted by the colors and focus too much on the system rather than on the scriptures.
I am an omnivorous reader but I never underline or color code. I find it way too distracting.
Isn’t it funny how different people learn? Coloring or marking distracts many people, but it helps me pay close attention. I find the colors and the search for verses to highlight greatly helps me pay attention to what I read.

It’s like taking notes during a college lecture…keeps me mindful of what I’m doing.

I like using stars and brackets also on my very favorite verses.

It needs to be a hardcover book where you can stick the ribbons between the hard cover and the bound pages. Use a lot of glue (Casco RX glue works great) and stick them to the bound pages. Sometimes I have to use tweezers to press the ribbons to the bound pages. Depending upon the quality of the ribbon I sometimes cut it at the end to a 45 degree angle or tie a small knot to the end so it wont tear.
