Anyone else mad at the world?

I don’t watch tv shows anymore unless they are classics (Dick Van ****, Andy Griffith etc)
because they are more relatable and provide a more civilized world.

We watched about five minutes of The Fosters, before realizing it was another visit to the pop culture sewer.

Our society, culture, and thinking, has been geared around finding novelty for some generations now (not exactly sure when this thread made its way into our thinking), so we reject anything traditional, at least implicitly, if not being outright hostile to it, and embrace any sort of garbage because it’s “new.” Gay rights is just the latest expression of this fad…where anything we have felt to have value in the past (Christianity, morals, self-respect, etc) is thrown out in favor of acting like the barbarians from within.

Hey out there!
I am just feeling so violated. I hope this site can help me a little.
Their is this new channel ABC spark… and I seen the previews for a new series, ‘The Fosters’ and I was excited because to me it seemed like FINALLY TV was getting a show back on like ‘7th Heaven’ or ‘Full House’ with morals and family values.
Boy was I wrong.
I tried to get past the part of the lesbian couple being the main focus. I prob. shouldn’t’ve done that. Then throughout the next few episodes they begin with themes of pro-choice, sex before marriage and contraception, and then they even take a stab at portraying a ‘nice’ catholic couple (of course as the bad guys). I tried to voice my opinion on an article written about an episode with the morning after pill, and they would not publicly post it.
I’ve always felt like the media was choosing what we can view and how these next generations will view things, now I really feel like my fredom of speach is voilated. Can anyone help me feel better about society? Right now I feel like crawling under a rock and bringing my family with me!
Would one be better off watching one of those Quinn Martin crime shows from the 1970s (Cannon, The Streets of San Francisco, etc.)?

I’m not “mad” at the world. I’m just rather frustrated and disappointed. I belong to the generation of “mediocrity,” of “I reject this because it seems archaic,” to “equality for all!” If I have go into detail I’m afraid I’ll just get “mad.”

Interesting…

I have been thinking about this show since hearing about it on NPR the other day. I work with foster kids/those in danger of going into state custody/adoptees daily and would love to see a show about these guys. I hear good things about how these kids are presented in “The Fosters.” Wish there was an alternative…

Speaking of The Fosters, check out the following link:

Um, wasn’t Stephen Collins on 7th Heaven with Catherine Hicks? I guess it doesn’t help matters that Nancy Lee Grahn, an actress who has been openly pro-abortion along with being supportive of the gay/homosexual agenda, also appeared on 7th Heaven. sigh

I was just as horrified when I saw an ad for it in a Movie theater. I was just thankful my daughter wasn’t there.
