Anyone ever get feelings that they missed a Hail Mary or two while praying the rosary?

These would be machine made rosaries? I’m almost paranoid about missing or adding when I make them. Many checks, and the final “hold the cross, hold the top and compare the beads a couple times for length” test.
Might post a pic if desired.

I think the ones I missed are made up for by the extra ones I throw in. I blame fat fingers. Not nearly as annoying as getting halfway through a prayer that I say daily and blanking on the next word! Sometimes my brain doesn’t feel like working.

.
Sometimes I think I might have missed one. Then if I am still on that decade, I say another.
I am annoyed too if I missed a Hail Mary…
Still, it isn’t spiritually necessary even to say the rosary at all, so no problem.
Days after I got married, I lost track of which day it is, and missed Sunday mass. However even then, I realized it was no sin, since I hadn’t realized I was missing mass (which ordinarily I consider a serious obligation). Far less is it a problem to say the rosary wrong unintentionally, to say the least.

When I do, and I’m sure I do often, I treat it like I landed on “go back three spaces” and add three hail Marys for being distracted.

Often a big reason for this is men using Rosaries that are actually a better for for women (with very small beads). Fortunately there are options… like the Paracord rosaries on ruggedrosaries.com

I stumble and mess up at least once or more per rosary. I often end up saying more than the required 10 Hail Marys. I do binding prayers against distraction and say acts of contrition for allowing distractions to throw me off.

My “short” rosary is very manly and weighty with hematite beads.

Fortunately I was able to obtain a bead a bead of approximate size if not shape and “correct” it (college town in the 2000’s)

Thanks be to God, for the communion of saints!
How would we fare without one another?

I had a rosary from a mission that had 13 Hail Mary’s!

I found out after evening prayers when people said I
never thought you’d finish with the Hail Mary’s.

I was meditating a little too hard and was four Hail Mary beads into the decade when I realized I had said the Our Father five times. Oops!

On the link, one “decade” of the battle rosary appears to have only nine beads. 😇

I have a lot of long, lonely drives. I pray aloud, counting prayers on my fingers, moving each finger to another portion of the steering wheel. That usually helps to keep me awake, but sometimes I need to park and sleep for awhile, anyhow, before resuming driving and praying. Before my trips, I walk around the vehicle first, blessing the tires while I eye them for air.
