Anyone familiar with this old Sacred Heart picture?

Getting my mom’s old Sacred Heart picture reframed. I am not sure if this came from my grandma or aunt (both long deceased) or from a resale shop, but it seems very old. Anyone familiar with this picture? I tried Google Image search but it was not helpful.

Yes we have this picture in our house. It was from my 90 year old mother in law’s home as a child, so very old.

Yeah that’s it. I’ve also seen some modern ones that look like somebody took the original old one and digitized and color enhanced it. This one is likely 75 to 100 years old.

I’ll look around on ebay when I have time. I think I saw an old one like it on there and there was an Immaculate Heart of Mary one to make a matching set.

Possibly. If it was properly licensed for reproduction in the US, perhaps. Otherwise, it would have to have physically traveled to the US, perhaps as a shipment of prints that were later framed. It would not surprise me if bootleg copies exist but someone with a knowledge of printing and paper should be able to spot an unauthorized printing.

From what I have read when I’ve seen it online, usually the description is that it’s a 1940’s Irish Catholic Holy Picture.

After doing some research, it appears that my Jesus is a really old faded print of a Sacred Heart by Hans Zatzka aka Zabateri, who died in 1945. Here is the Immaculate Heart of Mary painting that he made to go with it. I ordered the least expensive vintage print of her I could find in hopes of having them both framed together.

And, totally randomly while I was trying to figure out all this, I found a picture of a plus-sized Mary which I found charming. I have seen some pictures in the past of vintage Marys with chubby faces as was considered beautiful in about 1890, but this is the first vintage Mary I’ve seen that looks like a zaftig size 22 and happy about that.
