Thanks all for your replies. On a side note, I’m really looking to meet some new people once I move to Ann Arbor in August - I don’t really know anyone there. If any of you are open to meeting a new Catholic friend, I’d love to hear from you! And yes, I will definitely be attending Mass at St. Thomas.

Dear LaudemGloriae - the conclusion you draw from the Generation Christ Weekly Update selection quoted is reasonable but incorrect: One need not be a UMich student to reside in SCH. This summer, residents include several college graduates and some non-student young women as well.

See the St. Catherine House page

Please contact Sr. Mary Ann if you are interested.

Hi! No, not to join the parish, but to live in the House of Discernment for women. From here …

BadTurkey and chazk728, we’d love to meet you at St. Thomas / GenChrist.

If you travel to Ann Arbor again before August, we’ll have Sunday evening GC Holy Hours on 6/27, 7/11 and 7/25, and a picnic on 7/18, every-weekly Sunday Holy Hours will resume on about 9/12. We also meet for a social hour just about every Wednesday night of the summer. Other events may go on as well.

Consider joining the following facebook groups: Generation Christ Generation Christ Young Professionals GC “fan page”

Message me if you’d like to begin receiving the weekend social emails that are sent out every Friday of the year.

Ever hear of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mothers of the Eucharist?

They’re in the Ann Arbor area and put on a real nice Advent retreat.
I went one year, it was well worth the drive from Ohio.
🙂

Dear Paul,

Hi! Wow!! Thank you! That is so great to know! 👍 And I hadn’t seen that site of theirs … I must have missed it from the main page. Very neat! Thanks again! God bless!

Yes - that order is the best! My daughter will be taking her first vows there in August. They have been growing by leaps and bounds and were featured on an Oprah show a couple of months ago (They have a link to youtube version on their website if anyone wants to see the show).
