If so, how old were you? Was it because of really bad periods? Or because of some other reason? Did it help with any pre-existing symptoms, like bad migraines or cramps?
In fact, what kind of cycles do you have? Bad ones, easy ones? Did they become better or worse before or after having children?
Please note, I’m not asking for any kind of medical advice; menstrual cycles are as different as the women who have them, and I’m just interested in hearing about yours (and the hysterectomy questions above, too). Husbands, feel free to answer too.
FTR, my cycles are awful. Migraines at least once a week, cramps that are as bad as contractions, no fun at all.
And two friends of mine (one who’s 40 and the other who’s 30) just had hysterectomies (uterus only) because of their endometriosis and painful periods.
So whatever you could share would be great!
