Anyone have the "Go Anywhere Bible"

Yes, there’s a zippered rsv-ce compact. I was just curius about this b/c the layout seems a lot more convenient. Publisher seems to have no plans to put out regular RSV-CE or even NAB.

What is wrong with the RSV-CE zippered version? BTW, I have an NAB which I never use. I would not mind ridding myself of it. It is a compact edition.
 
Nothing’s wrong with it. I have a compact Ignatius NT myself. I was just intrigued at first about this “Go Anywhere” b/c the layout/shape seems like it’d be much easier to actually carry around the the Ignatius/Scepter/Oxford compacts.🙂

I think scapularkid has confirmed my suspicions that this “Go Anywhere” Bible is larger than any online bookstore is capable of illustrating. The Ignatius Compacts are definitely smaller.

Not sure I’d do that, especiially if it’s the 1970 edition; for whatever reason, you just might want to look up its rendering of a particular passage or even the content of a footnote someday. As you know, the 1970 Psalms and NT are not online (thanks a lot, USCCB 😦 ).

It’s not the 1970 edition. It is actually the RNAB. :eek:

Unless you have a non-compact edition of RNAB, I’d probably still keep it.

I once was considering giving away the NJB I purchased in 1987 - after I had purchased a KJV. Go figure. Glad I didn’t.

The only bibles I ever gave away were a Ryrie Study Edition of the NIV (to a co-worker who was a “deacon” in his Congregational parish) and a paperback NT of the GNB.

That’s the only RNAB I have. I do not have the older NAB. I see no reason to try to find one. There are much better Bibles available.
 
The Ebay seller has not contacted me about returning the item. It says I’m supposed to email and ask for a “Return Authorization Code”…I emailed three days ago AND sent a Private Message to the user on Ebay, but no contact so far…28 days and counting until I’m not allowed to return it…I knew I should’ve bought an RSV!

I could just give this Bible to my little brother. He’s ten and doesn’t have one so…
 
Okay, should I buy the hardcover or leather Ignatius Bible RSV- 2nd Edition?

Leather is more durable and will last a lot longer. It also looks nicer. All of my Bibles are leather-bound, and I own about 15 of them.
