It doesn’t bother me. It’s just not Catholic. So it’s logical to assume that you are not.
What’s not Catholic about it?

Catholicism agrees that Faith in Jesus is a necessity for Salvation

Anything else?
No. I think you’ve said it all.
Indeed. Reducing a good portion of the Sermon on the Mount to yak-yak-yak is … something else.

The whole ‘you don’t need a middleman’ thing is not reflective of Catholic teaching about the sacraments. Particularly reconciliation.

Since you’re evading the question, I think it’s safe to assume you are not Catholic. Which is fine —but should be taken into account by the OP when considering your advice on theology programs.

That misses my point… which is directed not at Catholic Teachings but at “theologians”

There’s the good, the bad and the Ugly

The Entire Globe knows there’s a huge split in the Catholic World -

Are you aware?
What does that have to do with your knowledge of Catholic theology? Look, I get that you, for whatever reason, want to evade this question. Just so the OP understands that when considering your advice.

Yeah. Not really an answer. I think this part of the discussion is no longer fruitful.

I’m not going to continue a conversation in which you don’t answer a direct question but expect others to do so.

To that end, I am bowing out.

OP—I think Steubenville is probably the best fit for your requirements.

To be honest, I think pastors are stifled because they are trying too much to approach people with “psychological persuasiveness”. They are afraid of pushing people away from the faith, if they are too blunt about morals and Church Teaching. So they predetermine if it will benefit telling someone Catholic Teaching in a relative manner.

This, I find very foreign to Christ’s approach.

Yes, He was tender and appealed to faith, but He did not avoid difficult truths out of fear that He would push them away.

I wish pastors would represent Jesus and Catholic Teachings, instead of trying to play Jesus and psychologists.

Exactly… Some false theologians peddle Jesus as if He were an Effete Cosmic MarshMallow…

Jesus was and is - anything of the sort…

He lashed into the Liars of His Day - and Told them where they’re going…

At JUDGEMENT? He’ll be sending some to Hell.

Avoid Universities with Profs who are not in Full Communion with Catholic Church Teachings
