Yes, I am lazy: I HATE housework… sorry. I have 2 cats and 2 little dogs, along with my fiancee’s dog who stays with me a lot. Couple that with hardwood floors and I could be spending a lot of time on the floors. Ugh…

I’m not sure why one time saving device should provoke a moralistic reply! It’s cheaper than getting a maid service to come in. I can keep the rest under control, barely.

*I hate housework too…alhtough vacuuming can be fun, at times. It’s nice when you make rows on the carpet…and you can see your accomplisment. Not like laundry… That’s just endless.

My concern with this Roomba, is that it won’t clean the floors/carpet the way I/dh does manually vacuuming. *

Whatever - I’ve been reading the reviews of the 530 on Amazon and think I am falling in love! Some people say it does a better job than their upright in general although you have to use it daily and clean it daily to get the best results. It doesn’t replace the vacuum fully but decreases the frequency that you need use it.

Since I have hardwood downstairs, I don’t get the nice lines. I don’t get them in my upstairs carpeting because I so rarely vacuum - isn’t that awful ?!? No, you won’t see me on A&E’s Hoarders, but housework is a struggle.

I have a tiny apartment and it takes me a while to vaccumn my rug and floors and such. I’d say atlest 10 minutes…between getting under and around things and emptying the stupid canister and such. Of course, I just have an efficiency vaccumn.

We have a central vac in our house and I always found it quite the pain in the butt, besides the heavy hose it was NOISY!

I only do it once a week or less… .

I can understand why someone with either small children or a career would want one of these, its nifty and useful.

Bully for you if you have the time to spend 15 minutes on your carpets a day. I don’t have that kind of time.

Good heavens, we are not talking about hours here, it takes ME 15 minutes to hoover the living room and hall and 2 bedrooms and I am seriously disabled.

How about spending the hundreds of $$ on the shelter or homeless?

Maybe some people can afford to do both.
