I was making some research a while ago, and found at the Catholic Encyclopedia an entry on the Confraternities of the Cord and found a mention on the “wearing of a cincture in honour of St. Michael was general throughout France” in the Middle Ages.

Can anybody tell me if this practice is still possible/valid? And if so, what does one needs to do?

I’ve heard of the cord of the Sacred Blood of Jesus, but not St. Michael. I don’t know too much about it though other than being a sacramental.

I’ve heard of the Cord Bearers of St. Francis, but not of St. Michael.
