Actually the reason that so many denominations have been created from the One True Church is that the devil knows where the Truth lives and he does not cease to attack and separate Christians. If you noticed, the devil hasn’t spent much time causing divisions between Muslims. You should be concerned by your lack of tumult.
I have thought about this many times, especially since non-C denominations attack Catholicsm so much…it has made me stop and think…perhaps Satan knows something that us non-C’s don’t. It has made me stop, ponder and wonder…

On that same note, it could be used as to why so many denominations of non-C as well…

My buddy below (quote) …is sometimes referred to as the “walking bible”…he has memorized all of the New Testament and majority of Old…of course the non-C bible. 👍

i think my uncle does…whenever i talk to him about an idea, he cites all the paragraph whether OT or NT…i personally know all the ideas but cannot recite the same words so i usually paraphrase.

I’ve got a couple dozen phrases down from several translations. It really helps me remain focused on the truth when times get tough.

I can’t imaging trying to get the whole Bible in my noggin though.

Thats why no wonder why Christianity has split into thousands of sects, denominations and cults due to their own different versions of the Bibles that no two of them are alike.
and maybe thats why islam split into many sects THOUGH they have the same words.
The most “remarkable” thing is all these sects, denominations and cults claim to have got same Holy Ghost/Spirit
, but he/she/it is “inspiring” clearly contradicting things to all, that no one of them is ever ready to give up his/her sect/cult/denomination and merge into other’s utter ignorance.the Holy Spirit is God…not everyone who claims to be guided by God is necessarily truthful…
So the question that OP is asking is too much because before asking such question, Christiandom is yet to produce ONE UNIFIED version of the Bible that is acceptable to all those Christiandom’s thousands of sects, denominations and cults.
we are not literalists thats why we dont care about different translations…we care about the meaning.
To Muslim:
So, you should ask Christians: which version of the Bible is indeed word of God in order for people to memorize it
ignorance kills…and we SHOULD NOT memorize it cuz God doesnt care about words but PRACTICING them…unlike your arabian allah who wants prayers in arabic even if you understand nothing.
Because the Biblical scholars are still
in process and busy in searching for ancient, most ancient and most-most ancient manuscripts of their Bibles and as they receieve more and more old versions, they keep amending the Biblical text by adding new verses or removing interpolated/later insertions and even interjecting new ideas into the texts of their Bibles to maintian the “uniqueness” of their respective Church/sect/cult/denomination. yes sure,as if you didnt read about these insignificant “variants” hypocrite. Bring me the quranS burnt by Uthman who took Zaid’s copy who wasn’t considered between the 4 scribes ascribed by mohammad and whose version was rejected by one of these 4.

You are a pathetic literalist…

You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you will find eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify and bear witness about me, but you will not come to me in order that you might have life. Lord Jesus.

We follow the Way, Life, and Truth that the bible testifies about. We don’t worship a book/words.

But memorizing the Word isn’t the same thing as worshipping it.

It just helps you focus on Biblical truths, that’s all.

I believe there are people who have done this, but it’s rare. There are many people who have memorized the entire New Testament or the Psalms.

Bear in mind that for Christians Jesus is the Word of God. Jesus, not the Bible, is the full and complete revelation of God. The Bible is a divinely inspired witness to Jesus. It is the Word of God as well but in a secondary sense.

Jesus functions in Christianity much as the Qur’an does in Islam, and similarly the Bible plays a role in Christianity more like that of Muhammad in Islam. In other words, if I understand Islam correctly Muhammad is venerated because he was the prophet through whom the Qur’an was revealed. But in Christianity it’s the other way round–the Bible is venerated because it reveals Jesus.
