I’m just curious about how many of you guys still watch American Idol. I still watch it.

:nope: haven’t watched in years, the auditions aren’t even entertaining anymore and they were always the best part (but I must admit I will flip to it every now and then if nothing else is on)

Not interested in that show any longer. I love The Voice though.

I watched it faithfully the first 6 or 7 seasons. Then Simon and Paula left and they tried different judges and I stopped watching. I have watched a few show this season. Not a lot of strong talent. I like the judges though. I didn’t watch any auditions this season.

I like America’s Got Talent much better. AGT has proven to be much more “family-friendly,” and it’s got much more than just music - dancing troupes, magicians, family-friendly standup comics, contortionists, much more variety. I wish that 7-or-8-kid singing family from last season would have gotten through to the finals - they were great. It’s probably the only “G-rated” thing left on TV.

I don’t, but my wife still does. She’s hit or miss with any given season though. She’s been watching this season and both her and my daughter were pretty upset that Joey Cook (sp?) got let go.

I think that was the girl you never knew what color her hair would be.
Most of the contestants are not consistent this season. Some can’t stay on pitch. Glad quentin was let go this week. He was scary.

I haven’t watched American Idol since Steven Tyler left as a judge. Been watching The Voice ever since. It’s much better.

I really do like AGT too. It’s a good show that my family likes to watch during the summer. It’s nice being able to see other things besides singing.

I like the setup of judges too. Harry, J-Lo, and Keith Urban seem to have great chemistry, and they’re much nicer than Simon.

BTW, did you guys know that Harry Connick Jr. is Catholic?

No. Is he a practicing Catholic?

Yes I have watched it every season from the finale of season 1. That first season I had heard about this new show ‘American Idol’ but wasn’t interested. Then they had the finale show between Kelly Clarkson and Justin (can’t remember the last name), so I decided to watch. When Kelly Clarkson sang that night, I thought that she was better than anyone else I had heard on the radio! I was sold on the show since that night and haven’t missed it since.

So what do you think about Rayvon Owen? 4 in a row! Whoo! I love that guy.

Hopefully more people will vote for him, because I dont know how much longer they will continue to use twitter to decide who stays and who goes?

My mom still watches American Idol, but I could care less about the show myself these days. In fact, I wish Fox would cancel it.
