Or anyone here work with or are involved strongly in the catholic charismatic renewal?

Friend; start up a catholic charismatic group. If you only get two or three people,

Jesus said; ‘Where two or three are guarded in My Name, I am there aswell!’

And:

‘If two or three of you ask for anything in My Name, I will grant it.’

Even if it is just something such as: you, your wife, your mom, your cousin, etc. it can be relatives.

Could you not go to a Pentacostal or other christian prayer group just for the charismatic element? That is called Ecumenism and is okay as long as you are strong on your catholic beliefs

I am from Europe and there are catholic charismatic renewal prayer groups near me, I just wanted to start a thread to discuss the catholic charismatic renewal, with people who are active in ministry or charismatic prayer groups,

Agreed, but in the absence of any local charismatic prayer groups, He should begin his own family or parish charismatic prayer group, Or maybe attend the local Pentecostal one? ☺️

My husband is attached to a large multi-national one. He gives talks at their annual leadership conference. He used to be pentacostal/protestant.

Pentecostals are really anti-Catholic. Very uninformed about our faith unfortunately. I don’t agree with alot of their folk tale theology (that’s what my seminary professor called it).

But what you suggest of starting a charasmatic group at my local parish is a very good idea. I’m going to pray over this very thing.

Thank you so much! 🙂

Just go ahead and start a catholic charismatic prayer group.

Because:
Number 1)
Pope Benedict said that he hopes the catholic charismatic renewal becomes a normal part of every parish and every faith formation/ sacrament initiation setting in every parish.

Number 2). Your parish is missing this very blessed avenue that has been approved by the Vatican.

Number 3). ‘When your goal/ talents/ desires match the need of the world, that is usually the will of God.’

That’s a bummer.

P&W in front of the Blessed Sacrament is a major factor in my faith being where it is today… It’s amazing.

That is very interesting. The movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives is what makes our faith come very alive. The Spirit enhances our worship and devotion to God. He makes are heart of stones, become living with the beating heart of Christ. Blessed Pope Benedict knew this.

It seems like every day I learn something new about HH Benedict that makes me love him more than before…

The entire early church was charismatic… ☺️

People now have their faith stiffled by science (which the media uses to deny God, who is actually the Creator of science), and sermons which sometimes interpret Jesus miracles as symbolic to parables,

It says in the bible:
‘Jesus could do no great work in Nazareth because of their lack of faith.’

A lack of faith is clearly shown as a block to Jesus working miracles, in that quote.

Before most miracles Jesus asked, ‘Do you have faith I can do this?’ And afterwards said; ‘Your faith has gained this for you.’

Anyone here ever read any of Fr Robert De Grandis books? (He has some amazing videos of his catholic healing services on youtube).
Or Bob Canton’s book ‘Miracles Never Ending’ (bob canton has some amazing healing services on youtube too).

Both of the above are catholics in the charismatic renewal healing ministry ,

Yes, the early church was full the “POWER” of the Holy Spirit. In the original Greek language it is, “dunamis”, which means:

Definition: (a) physical power, force, might, ability, efficacy, energy, meaning (b) plur: powerful deeds, deeds showing (physical) power, marvelous works.

http://biblehub.com/greek/1411.htm

Acts 1:8 New International Version (NIV)
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Many believers don’t want this power available to them by Christ.

Exactly. There is a book about the beginning of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal written by David Mangan called ‘God loves you and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it,’

It is on amazon.com for ebook download or paperback purchase,

It mentions when he found the ‘dunamis’ dynamite of the Holy Spirit in his life at that retreat

Imagine if every Priest, in every Parish, at every mass asked people to come forward for this Power of the Holy Spirit to fall upon them at the end if mass. WOW

Exactly. But faith in God’s power is vanished in a lot of parishes. We go to mass and ask God to stick with us. But most don’t believe God can do the impossible if He wills it.

Jesus said in the bible:
‘Believers will speak in other tongues, they will cast out demons, they will lay their hands on the sick and the sick will recover. They will do the same works as Me, and greater, because I will send them the Holy Spirit.’

The entire early church spoke in tongues, cast out demons, healed the sick, did the miraculous, raised the dead, and saint Paul describes charismatic prayer meetings in the bible; describing ‘prophesying,’ interpreting tongues, words of knowledge, words of wisdom, singing in the Spirit, …

This church brought the downfall of the Roman Empire and converted thousands to christianity by the power of the Spirit,

And Pope Benedict said the catholic charismatic renewal should be a normal part of every parish, and all faith formation/ sacrament formation classes ☺️
