Anyone know anything about the Marist brothers?

(I don’t even know if I’m called to religious life… in fact it’s kinda odd for me to be thinking about it anyway since I’m at uni atm and not particularly close to God, nor particularly far away from Him… but thought I may as well get a bit of info)

My knowledge of them is they taught at my school and they took in some boys in difficult situations, also that the order is based on St Marcellin Champagnat and his devotion to Mary… they seem to be pretty down to earth, practical fellas… was considering seeing if I could stay with them a little while at some point in the hols to get a taste of what it’s like. Anyone know anything more about them?

They taught at our parish HS, in fact a few still live there although I don’t think they teach now but help out. They good men and the students like them. They are big into education. They also run a camp where our freshmen students go to for a few days before they begin school.
 
I don’t know what they are like these days but I think that your idea of staying with them for a period of time is a good one.
