Anyone know of prophet Wendy Christie?

A person in our church is promoting a “prophet” named Wendy Christie? I’ve never heard of her before. Does anyone know about her and the type of messages she brings…are they in line with the Church?
 
Judging by what she publishes on Facebook, she and her husband run a Pentecostal ministry, they are not Catholic. Are they sending people to sow their stuff in a Catholic church? Does your parish priest know about that? :confused:

No, she is not Catholic and someone in your Church should not be promoting her. I would let your priest know that someone at the parish is promoting this false prophet. Stay away from her stuff.
 
It’s not a parish-sponsored event…just someone who is encouraging people to go see her. I can’t really find anything concrete on what she teaches and if it’s against Catholic teaching or not in order to talk to this person about not supporting/promoting her .

I tend to stick with the prophets named; Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel…🙂 Just think of all the so called prophets from the nineteenth century and how they helped to fracture Christianity. 🤷

I used to work with a person who was Pentecostal and she mentioned many times people they called “prophets” who as far as I could tell were itinerant preachers. I always felt I was missing something about what made these people especially holy or singular however.

You should clearly go see her, she’s might be the next Aimee Semple McPherson and from what I know the liquor is still expensive and the loving is still free down in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
