This is a beautiful translation of Psalm 34:2 and following. I have searched nearly a dozen translations, including the NAB, Douay-Rheims, RSVCE, NJB, KJV, NKJV, Tyndale-Cloverdale, Geneva, Darby, CLV, Bishops bible.

Can anyone tell me which translation this beautiful language is from?

Psalm 34:2…
I will bless the Lord at all times,
His praise always on my lips;
in the Lord my soul shall make its boast.
The humble shall hear and be glad

Glorify the Lord with me.
Together let us praise his name.
I sought the Lord and he answered me; _
from all my terrors he set me free.

Look towards him and be radiant;
let your faces not be abashed.
This poor man called; the Lord heard him
and rescued him from all his distress.

The angel of the Lord is encamped
around those who revere him, to rescue them.
Taste and see that the Lord is good.
He is happy who seeks refuge in him.

Christine The Grail Psalms is used commonly in the Liturgy of the Hours. Christian Prayer, the 1 volume edition uses the Grail Psalms written in 1963 as does 4 Volume set. I don’t have any other information on when they were first written though.

Thanks - I found this website on the Grail Psalms. Seems they were translated from Latin into English starting in the 1950’s when the Catholic Church was beginning to anticipate changing the Mass from Latin to English. communio.stblogs.org/2008/12/the-revised-grail-psalter-conc.html
